Jishin Taiko rebuilding in progress...

What a Difference One Week Makes!

Saturday, April 5, 2014
On the week of March 23-29, 2014, CSUN Jishin Taiko had gotten involved in several different exciting things! All in one week! First off, on Monday, Jishin hosted Cal Poly Ponoma's Touzan Taiko for a joint practice. On Tuesday, Jishin went to Asano Taiko US in Torrence, CA for an open jam session with visiting collegiate taiko group Stanford Taiko. Finally, on Saturday, Jishin competed in a friendly competition of The Matsuri Crashers Battle: March Madness Edition against UCSD's Asayake Taiko, also at Asano Taiko US in Torrence, CA. Unfortunately, Jishin lost to Asayake. Final score: JISHIN 1-ASAYAKE 3. Go to the videos section of the blog to catch all of the action! Hope you enjoy these awesome vids! On the bright side, Jishin raised a lot of money in that event, over $700! And it all go towards the Intercollegiate Taiko Conference happening at CSUN on Memorial Day Weekend! What a difference one week makes! From all of us at CSUN Jishin Taiko, we just want to say THANK YOU to everyone: Touzan, Stanford, Asayake, the staff at Asano Taiko US, and everyone else who made that week awesome, exciting, and phenomenal for us! We greatly appreciated it!
