We hope everyone had a great summer! A new semester is finally here. Time to get down to Taiko business. :D All who are interested in joining this year are welcome to our 2nd annual orientation day! It will be held in our Taiko practice room (Cypress Hall, room 145) on Friday, September 3 starting at 7pm. There will be refreshments and an introduction on who we are and what we do. Afterwards, we will have a small performance for you all, including a short tutorial you may participate in on our specific way of playing. Don't miss your chance to mingle with our members and others interested in becoming a member! We all hope to see YOU there. :)

Edit:
We'd like to thank all who came to our orientation day! There was a great turn out of people interested and we hope many of you return! :) For those who were not able to make it, but still wish to check us out, be sure to note down our practice days! You are very much welcome to come watch. Those in our mailing list will be contacted by us about it. We hope to see you around!~

Liz Ohanesian from the LA Weekly Blog has written an article on Jishin Taiko. She has pictures and video of the Micomicon show. Enjoy!

It's that time again. On November 24 at 8 pm, the Taiko class that is taught at CSUN is having their concert that is usually held at the end of the semester. And again, Jishin Taiko is going to perform as an honorary guest. The concert is going to be on campus (18111 Nordhoff Street, Northridge, CA 91330) at Cypress Hall, in the Recital Hall. Tickets are available at the box office right outside the hall for $10 ($5 for students). Hope to see you all there!

We are going to be playing at the Valley Ice Center in Panorama City on November 22. We are supporting our fine CSUN Ice Hockey Team and we hope you do too! The address is 8750 Van Nuys Blvd Panorama City, CA 91402 and the game should start at 8:00 pm. See you there!
